Sometimes you get one of those days

March 27, 2007

..that is just great from start to finish.

Take yesterday. An unexpected lie-in because we forgot to put the alarm clock forward an hour.

Work consisted of an ‘awayday’ with my new team. Half a day of presentations (which were max 10 minutes long each and quite humorous), lunch, then an ‘adventure centre’ for quad-biking, abseiling (which I politely declined) and team building games. The sun was shining and Spring had sprung so it was a lovely day.

Then, straight home, changed and out to the Faithless gig. They rocked. No, they were better than that. They shook the foundations, they gave me goosebumps, they were fan-bloody-tastic. Absolutely awesome. And I bought the t-shirt I saw at the last Faithless gig I went to but didn’t buy at the time as I didn’t have the £cash.

Cool day!

Ugly/lovely

March 13, 2007

I recently bought a pair of Crocs and they arrived today.

They are as hideous as they look in the picture, but they are deliciously comfortable and, best of all, Dexter doesn’t seem interested in chewing them so I can wear them as slippers round the house :D

Gummy Bear

Tooth

Originally uploaded by Ms Chick.

Dexter’s losing his puppy teeth. Every now and then he spits one out, usually after a game of tug – we’ve got quite a collection of them now.

This also means he’s teething again – so anything that stays still long enough for him to get his jaws round it is chew fodder!

He’ll have to suck his food before long.

The eternal female dilemma

March 10, 2007

I’m going out tonight. I’m actually going out in just over 2 hours. I’m meeting some girlfriends for dinner and drinks. In the group will be people I haven’t met, except for ‘on-line’, which is a bit scary.

So I’m currently having that eternal female dilemma.

WTF Should I Wear?

Ten things I wish I could bottle

March 6, 2007

…. for use when I desire.
1. The feeling I get when I watch animals running just for the joy of it.
2. The smell of Australia.
3. Dexter’s energy.
4. A good night’s sleep.
5. A scalp massage.
6. Time for doing nothing much at all, really.
7. Sunshine.
8. The sound and smell of the sea.
9. A sincere compliment.
10. A warm welcome home, by puppy and man.
